Issue Position

Congress must change to foster the revitalization of America. There are opportunities present to facilitate this change. One opportunity is to address the importance of the legislating term limits. Career politicians worry more about campaigning and raising funds than about the needs and desires of their constituents. With the funds that corporations are pouring into elections, the needs of the few become more important than the needs of the many. I believe term limits will minimize the effects of corporate influence and allow legislators to legislate.

We must work together to revitalize our economy. I believe in bipartisan deficit reduction legislation like the Simpson-Bowles Deficit Reduction Plan. Simpson-Bowles is a plan that will decrease the national debt significantly. However, it is essential to America's economic health that we work together, regardless of party lines.
